Prospective Auditors

This page provides information about the auditor registration process for classes at the Mythgard Institute. If you are still considering whether to audit one of our classes, you may find our Admissions, How Our courses Work, and our Current Courses pages beneficial.

If you are unsure whether you would like to pursue an M.A. in Language and Literature or take classes as an auditor, you may want to view our Admissions page for more information.

Register to Audit

Perhaps you would like to dig deeper into Tolkien, Lewis, Rowling, Lovecraft, and others, but you don’t have the time or inclination to write papers and study for exams. Maybe you have no particular need to earn an actual degree, but you would love the opportunity to be a part of an excellent educational experience, learning from world-class teachers and scholars.

By auditing a course at Mythgard Institute, you will be able to participate in the entire series of interactive online lectures delivered by the course’s lecturer(s). You can also be a full participant in the moderated discussion board for the class, allowing you can exchange ideas with all of the other students in the class – all for less than the price of one movie ticket a week!

Course Audit, One Semester Tuition: $175 (less than $15 per week)

Registering for Courses

Anybody can become an auditor, and there is no application process. You may register for individual courses found on the Current Courses page. Registration generally opens several weeks before the semester begins, and closes two weeks after classes start. After you make your tuition payment, you will receive confirmation of your audit registration, followed by instructions on how to access course materials.

More information about enrolling is available on the FAQ Page.
