Visiting both Sparta and Panem

The Mythgard team was delighted to receive word that a new essay on The Hunger Games that had been posted over at The Hog’s Head was penned by one of the Institute’s current students, Kris Swank.  In her piece, Kris compares the Career Tributes (professional teenage fighters/killers) of the fictional Panem to the very real culture of youthful training for war that existed in Sparta.  It’s a thought-provoking post and – we’ve been told – will soon be joined by more of her contributions to the site.
