Mythgard Institute and Middle-earth Network announce new “Riddles In The Dark Podcast,” with Tolkien Professor Corey Olsen and Dave Kale
Hartly, DE. – The Mythgard Institute, in conjunction with the Middle-earth Network, is excited to announce a new bi-weekly podcast from The Tolkien Professor, Corey Olsen, and Middle-earth Network Radio Programming Director Dave Kale.
The 30-minute Riddles in the Dark podcasts begin Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 10:00 am UTC-5 and will be broadcast live on Middle-earth Network Radio. The archived podcasts will be available for listening 24/7 in a new addition to Mythgard’s Exclusives section.
On each episode of Riddles in the Dark, Professor Olsen will draw upon his intimate familiarity with The Hobbit and Tolkien’s other works to address some of the most pressing questions about the book and upcoming movies. Discussion will focus on the themes, characters, and events of Middle-earth and lay the groundwork for intelligent speculation about how the book may be translated to film (as well as how the hosts think it should be!). Each episode will culminate in the hosts making a specific prediction about the upcoming films, to be proven or disproven when the films are finally released.
And we will be keeping score!
The first episode will kick off a two-year competition sponsored by the Mythgard Institute for the RitD hosts and other special guest analysts to see who scores the highest number of correct predictions! The other competitors will be announced in the coming weeks.
Do not miss this rare chance to hear The Tolkien Professor talk about Hobbit movie news from a detailed academic standpoint and to join in the speculation. Stop by the Riddles in the Dark of the Mythgard Institute website for all the great content mentioned, including articles and blog posts from our guests!
