Our Fall catalog of courses is now available, and all courses are open for registration.
In case you haven’t heard already, there will be three never-before-offered classes starting in August:
The Force of Star Wars: Examining the Epic – Dr. Amy H. Sturgis takes us on flyby of a galaxy far, far away and some time ago to explore how this story has affected (and is still affecting) our own world.
Introduction to Anglo-Saxon – Taught by Dr. Michael D. C. Drout and Prof. Nelson Goering, students who take this class will learn the basics of the Anglo-Saxon language, as well as read and translate Anglo-Saxon poetry.
Tolkien’s Wars and Middle-earth – As with so many writers, Tolkien’s work was in large part a product of his life experiences, and one big experience was his involvement in WWI. In this course, John Garth, author of Tolkien & the Great War, takes a look at the influences of Tolkien’s wartime involvement on his writings.
We’re all really excited about these courses. Learn more on the Fall 2015 Courses page or by visiting one of the detailed class pages linked above.
