3 Genre CFPs: Heinlein, Twin Peaks, the Gothic & Racism

Mythgard Professor Dr. Amy H. Sturgis has pointed out three genre-related Calls For Proposals which might be of interest to Mythgardians seeking an outlet for their academic writing:

I. Robert A. Heinlein. A collection of new scholarly essays on Robert A. Heinlein will be published by Salem Press for its Critical Insights Series, and is entertaining proposals for several chapters. Contributors will receive an honorarium of $250. II. “It’s Happening Again”: Twenty-Five Years of Twin Peaks. Essays are being solicited for a new collection celebrating one of television’s greatest cult phenomena. Originally airing in 1990/91, Mark Frost and David Lynch’sTwin Peaks will be returning, twenty-five years after it went off the air, and this collection will explore the show in the context of its time, and its legacy. The editors are interested in proposals on all aspects of the television program as well as on tie-ins and connected materials. Click the link above for more information and contact info. III. Gothic and Racism. This edited volume will explore issues of race in all artistic manifestations of the Gothic. The aim of the collection is to analyse forms of racism and racialism put forward by Gothic cultural productions over the last 250 years. To be published in a volume in 2015.
